Everything you need to know about face coverings!

With face coverings becoming mandatory on public transport from Monday 22nd June, here's some helpful FAQs!

Do I need to buy a face mask?
You don't have spend money on a face mask, you can simply cover your nose and mouth with something like a scarf, to protect those around you.

Will McGill's supply the masks?
We have a small amount of masks to be distributed on Monday 22nd June, but we expect these to go very quickly, so please bring your own face covering with you.

Why are some other passengers not wearing a face covering?
Some of our customers are exempt from wearing a face covering. Some of our drivers are also exempt, due to medical conditions.

Who is exempt? Why are some other passengers not wearing a face covering?
Those who cannot put on, wear or remove a face covering without causing severe distress or because of any physical or mental illness, impairment or disability are exempt from wearing a face covering. Children under the age of 5 are also exempt.

How do I prove I am exempt?
The easiest way to tell the driver that you are exempt is to use a Thistle Assistance Card. You can request a card at thistleassistance.com or download the app by searching 'Thistle Card' in the app store. Simply show the driver your card or app and board the bus as normal.
