Looking for some fun things to do during the festive period? We've put together a list of some great ideas to keep you and your family entertained this winter.
Paisley Christmas
30th November – 30th December
Immerse yourself in the Christmas spirit, with a host of festive activities taking place in Paisley town centre during December. Put your ice skating skills to the test at the outdoor ice rink in County Square or relax in the Bavarian themed bar.
Join Santa in his workshop and make some Christmas ornaments. The Christmas angels and naughty Elves have also been busy hiding around Paisley, grab a trail map and see if you can find them all!
Glasgow Winterfest
27th November – 7th January
Glasgow Winterfest returns as George Square and St Enoch Square is transformed into a magical winter wonderland, browse the range of traditional Christmas stalls selling artisan foods and uniquely crafted gifts or glide under the stars in the magnificent ice rink or enjoy the thrill of the rides on the Big Wheel or helter-skelter.
Shopping at Silverburn
With over 100 brands to choose from, Silverburn has something for everyone this Christmas. Plus take advantage of the gift wrapping service provided by Glasgow Children's Hospital. They will also be hosting meet and greet sessions everyday from 1st to 24th December with Santa Claus!
Johnstone Christmas Light Switch On
2nd December
Houston Square will be transformed into a magical winter wonderland for Johnstone’s annual Christmas light switch on; Join in the festive activities as you get into the Christmas spirit!
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs – King’s Theatre
2nd December – 7th January
Panto season is officially back! Join Elaine C Smith and the cast as they perform Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The show is guaranteed to have you rolling with laughter.
Braehead Shopping Centre
Pick up any last minute Christmas gifts from Braehead Shopping Centre which is right in the heart of the McGill’s bus network. Browse from a wide range of high street retailers. Plus, there is plenty of opportunities to put your feet up and relax, have a bite to eat or grab a drink in between shopping.
Beauty and the Beast – Beacon Arts Centre
9th – 31st December
Join the Beacon Arts Centre as they perform the loved classic Beauty and the Beast with an Inverclyde twist and discover if true love will win the day!
Late night shopping Buchanan Galleries
11th - 24th December
Pick up any last minute Christmas gifts from Buchanan Galleries, browse from a wide range of high street retailers such as Lego, Lakeland and Mango, or recharge in the food court with a wide choice of eateries to choose from.
Cinderella – The Albany
14th-16th December
Sinderella ‘An Adult Pantomime’ the adult adaption of the much loved Cinderella adding some spice and infused with humour running over 3 nights at The Albany Theatre, Greenock.
Browns Brasseries & Bar Glasgow – Festive Afternoon Tea
