Explore Inverclyde’s history, architecture and heritage during Doors Open Days, Scotland’s largest free festival celebrating the places and stories that make our communities unique.

Taking place on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September 2026, the event gives visitors free access to historic buildings, places of worship, civic buildings and other architectural gems across Inverclyde.

Highlights include Wemyss Bay Station, the Custom House and Greenock Burns Club, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service Museum and Heritage Centre, Beacon Arts Centre, Wellpark Mid Kirk and the Old West Kirk.

Visitors can also discover the area’s history through guided tours, including a Port Glasgow walking tour, while families can take part in the Children’s Heritage Digital Trail around Greenock.
